Xiaomi 15 Global Version Appears on FCC Certification: Key Highlights

The highly anticipated Xiaomi 15, which launched in China in October 2024, is now gearing up for a global release. A recent FCC certification confirms the arrival of the global version, providing key insights into its features and configurations. While it offers powerful hardware, the global model will lack the highest-end configurations available in the Chinese version.

Global Version Configurations

The FCC listing reveals that the Xiaomi 15 global version will be available in two variants:

• 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
• 12GB RAM + 512GB storage

Notably, the Chinese version includes a 16GB RAM + 1TB storage variant, making the global version slightly less appealing for extreme power users.

Software and Certification

The Xiaomi 15 global version will run HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, delivering an enhanced user experience with improved AI-driven features and an intuitive interface. Passing FCC certification also means it has met all necessary communications and security standards for markets like the U.S.

• Triple rear camera setup, each sensor offering 50MP resolution (wide, ultra-wide, and 3x telephoto lenses).
• Pro model offers a 5x optical zoom on its telephoto lens.

Battery and Charging:

• A larger 5,400mAh battery, compared to the Xiaomi 14's 4,610mAh.
• Supports 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Launch Timeline

Although Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the exact release date, it is speculated that the Xiaomi 15 global launch will take place in February or March 2025, following Xiaomi's established release patterns.
