Is iPhone 17 Air the Thinnest iPhone Yet? Apple’s 2025 Lineup Promises Bold Innovation
Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with a strong focus on innovation and cutting-edge design. Among the most anticipated additions is the iPhone 17 Air, rumored to be an incredibly slim device that could redefine the future of smartphones.

If the iPhone 16 Pro measures 8.25mm thick, the iPhone 17 Air could come in at an astonishing 6.25mm, surpassing the iPhone 6 (currently Apple’s thinnest iPhone at 6.9mm).
This remarkable reduction in thickness is made possible thanks to Apple’s custom-designed 5G modem chip, which is more compact and integrated than previous versions. By refining the chip's architecture and optimizing internal components, Apple has successfully freed up precious space inside the device.
iPhone 17 Air Features
In addition to its sleek form factor, the iPhone 17 Air will feature a 6.6-inch display, positioned between the iPhone 17 Pro’s 6.3-inch and the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s 6.9-inch screens. This sweet spot offers users more screen space without the added bulk of the Pro Max model.
Expect substantial upgrades in display technology, performance, and the camera system. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to sport ProMotion technology with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 48MP camera sensor, and an upgrade to its front camera resolution—potentially boosting from 12MP to 24MP.
